Further Information:
Wingspan 35-46mm. Produces 2 broods and sometimes a third. The caterpillar feeds motly on rue (Ruta capensis) and fennel (Ferula communis and Foeniculum vulgare). The adult visits a number of species with long-tubed flowers and is frequently seen on Anthyllis vulneraria s.l. This subspecies is endemic to the Maltese islands.
